The lifts on Beecroft Rd at Epping station have broken down over 65 times since April 2023. When the lifts are down, people with mobility challengers, with prams or carrying luggage find it extremely difficult, if not impossible to access the station. This is not good enough. Right now, Dence Park Pool is closed. Back in 2016, the NSW Government gave Parramatta Council funding for a redevelopment. Now the Council wants to use that same money for a refurbishment instead. The intersection of Pennant Hills Road and Evans Road made it into the top 10 most dangerous in Australia. I’m calling for lights to be installed here immediately for the safety of our community. I’ve written to the Roads Minister twice now – only to receive vague, unhelpful responses. Epping’s safety is clearly not a priority to the Labor Government.
